We wrote up a proposal for the fellowship at the beginning of this year, <https://twistedmatrix.com/trac/wiki/Fellowship2015>, which contained the fateful phrase, "GitHub switch (50%) The maintainer will develop a plan for migration of development to GitHub, and once it has been approved implement the plan.".

We then asked people for money based on this document.  So GitHub is more or less a done deal :-).

Please suggest specific projects with specific limitations so they can be discussed.  While I don't doubt you're right, we can all vaguely gesture in the direction of Google to little effect :-).
