Using months for the secondary number is confusing. See how many
people talk about imaginary releases like "Ubuntu 7.0" and "Ubuntu
7.1". This scheme makes it look enough like a version number that
those kinds of things are unlikely.

Anyway, the version number is fairly irrelevant. I'd suggest not
worrying about it too much, because it's really unlikely to affect
anyone.
