"chastise"? You're overreacting, Cory. Nobody has been chastised in
this thread apart from those you chastised for pointing out the commit
format. While you're definitely right about not having much public
documentation about it (please contribute, you are a wiki editor), the
main point of your messages seem to be based on the mistaken
assumption that someone is being *abused*.
