Everybody's got an opinion. Here's mine. (these opinions are from my
experience only)

Tk:
 Pros: cross platform
 Cons: ugly results, ugly language

GTK / Glade (LibGlade):
Pros: separates application logic from interface*
       easy
       looks nice
 Cons: platforms not all there
2.0 bindings not yet complete (at 1.99.9)

wxWindows:
 Pros: cross platform
 Cons: ??

and then the overlooked option...

XUL:
Pros: separates application logic from interface*
       cross platform
REALLY knows how to use XML (CSS, HTML for free, etc)
Cons: just became frozen, so docs hard to find
       i suggest here: http://www.xml.com/pub/r/1330

* this is the most important feature I consider with my projects.
