This sounds like a good proposal -- check it in soon though!  I will be
documenting / finalizing the protocol very soon.

One thing I might add to this

is to make it more symmetrical, so that the client can select what
protocol it wants to speak.  e.g.:

[["Simple Banana Chat v2", "Perspective Broker v6", "Perspective Broker
v7"],
 ["pb", "none"]]
