class twisted.names.dns.Record_SRV(tputil.FancyEqMixin, tputil.FancyStrMixin): (source)

Implements interfaces: twisted.names.dns.IEncodableRecord

View In Hierarchy

The location of the server(s) for a specific protocol and domain.

This is an experimental record type.

See Alsohttp://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2782.html
Instance Variable priority The priority of this target host. A client MUST attempt to contact the target host with the lowest-numbered priority it can reach; target hosts with the same priority SHOULD be tried in an order defined by the weight field.
Instance Variable weight Specifies a relative weight for entries with the same priority. Larger weights SHOULD be given a proportionately higher probability of being selected.
Instance Variable port The port on this target host of this service.
Instance Variable target The domain name of the target host. There MUST be one or more address records for this name, the name MUST NOT be an alias (in the sense of RFC 1034 or RFC 2181). Implementors are urged, but not required, to return the address record(s) in the Additional Data section. Unless and until permitted by future standards action, name compression is not to be used for this field.
Instance Variable ttl The maximum number of seconds which this record should be cached.

def encode(self, strio, compDict=None): (source)

Write a representation of this object to the given file object.

ParametersstrioThe buffer to write to. It must have a tell() method. (type: File-like object)
compDictA mapping of names to byte offsets that have already been written to the buffer, which may be used for compression (see RFC 1035 section 4.1.4). When None, encode without compression. (type: dict of bytes to int r None)
def decode(self, strio, length=None): (source)

Reconstruct an object from data read from the given file object.

ParametersstrioA seekable buffer from which bytes may be read. (type: File-like object)
lengthThe number of bytes in this RDATA field. Most implementations can ignore this value. Only in the case of records similar to TXT where the total length is in no way encoded in the data is it necessary. (type: int or None)
def __hash__(self): (source)
