Since fetchResponseList notionally represents a flattened sequence of pairs (identifying keys followed by their associated values), collapsing such complex elements of this list as ["BODY", ["HEADER.FIELDS", ["SUBJECT"]]] into a single object would also greatly simplify the implementation of this method.
