•The monster attacks Squall, doing ten points of damage indicated by white digits over his head.
•As Zell waits his turn, his indicator LR has been replaced with that of the GF which he has summoned, Siren. Her time bar counts down the seconds until she will attack.
•It is Selphie's turn to plan her move, as indicated by the inverted pyramid and her name displayed in the set of timer bars, which flashes.
•The white-gloved hand by the command window can be moved to select her tactic.
•Each move and selection with the hand makes a small chime noise. I think these help orient the player to what he or she is doing. My dad always used to tell us to play with the sound off when we were little. He didn't understand how much harder it was to play with it off. Indeed, on some games it was impossible.
