From the docstring: "You can pass keywords args cp_min
and cp_max that will specify the size of the thread
pool used to serve database requests (possibly this is
deprecated - it does not work at the moment in any case)."

Either this functionality should be implemented, or the
docs and code relating to this broken feature removed...
