bug in mozilla ftp support

when in tld, and you click "go to parent directory" mozilla changes the path to
http://localhost/../ and refuses to do anything further

note: it doesn't actually get to the higher-level directory, so this isn't a
security issue

Is there a bug in Twisted here?  If so, what exactly is it?

Why is the status of this issue "in-progress" -- is there a branch somewhere I
can see work on this?

I can't reproduce anything like this problem with Firefox, against either
Twisted's FTP server or another one.
