This involves two implementations:

1. For reverse proxies and for MITM debugging proxies, do
HTTPS client connection.

2. For regular proxies, CONNECT support (limited to port 443).

I would be very interested to see this implemented. I'm trying to implement it my self but my lack of twisted skills are really not helping

I created a distinct ticket, ​5581 for feature 2 because although the features are symmetric, their implementations are separate.
