I am aware and I am working on it.  The subscription interface has been disabled because it's a magnet for backscatter spam that was being used in several nefarious ways, so we can't really turn it back on in its current state; I am migrating elsewhere for discussion lists.

If someone wanted to write up some self-service tips for using the email interface on the wiki in the meanwhile, that would be great ;).
