[Twisted-Python] TCP KeepAlive

Hi.

Got a couple of questions regarding TCP keep alive's and twisted:

1. When the TCP connection times-out, is pb.Copyable.stoppedObserving() called?

2. (this one isn't really twisted-specific, but if you know, it would
be great): has anyone ever broke any other applications on his/her
machine by changing the OS-wide TCP keepAlive interval? is there any
way to know whether changing the keepAlive timeout would break any
other application? Is there a standard way to document a program's
dependency on this parameter?
