Right.  Sez here that "events" are "the next big thing" ...
translation:  a new buzzword has bubbled up into the
B.S. computer-talk mags that pointy-haired bosses read, so
now yet another nice computing paradigm will now become
hopelessly muddled by the addition of several competing
"standard" event markup languages, each one with its
own set of stupidities and abuses, and M$'s own proprietary
implementation of their own variation of one of them,
complete with security horrors and a partially-hidden
api that neither conforms to its own documentation nor
maps nicely to any open-source event-driven library.
